My daughter, Jennifer, hates bees, wasps and anything that might sting her. I don't blame her. She's a magnet for them. They'll ignore everybody else present and make a beeline (see what I did there?) straight for her. She'll start waving her arms about and jumping around, inevitably hitting one, which will immediately retaliate and do what bees do.
Gwyneth Paltrow, the patron saint of expensive wellness, has disclosed that she now plunges "sparingly, and for less time than her husband Brad." This information has been shared with the world. We are invited to consider what it means. That Gwyneth and Brad have separate cold plunge durations is presented not as a detail about two people who own a cold plunge, but as guidance. A data point. A signal from the frontier of optimised living. Brad, apparently, plunges longer.
