The dinosaur era of software services is being disrupted massively by AI. But you knew that already. But it's the disruption of a different kind that is making the news lately. The disruption of LPG supply through that narrow crooked path called the Strait of Hormuz is setting off alarm bells in upscale Indiranagar.

There are two things I need in life. My morning filter coffee and a good masala dosa. The coffee, thankfully, has remained largely unimpacted. Who knows, I might have joined the war if it had been.

The latter, though, has clearly been affected by the LPG crisis. Gone are the days of the large tawas with multiple commercial LPG cylinders firing them up and ultimately resulting in the service of the perfectly prepared dosa along with the feeling that all is well with the world.

Not anymore. The butterfly effect of decisions taken in the White House is felt in my house.

But this is a generation that has shown Dravid-like resilience in the face of Covid. If it was the shortage of oxygen cylinders then, it is gas cylinders now.

Cue - alternate cooking apparatus in the form of wooden and induction stoves. The restaurant dosa made from induction is the new normal now just like the IT services with co-pilot and AI led development.

Adapting to this new normal, quickly, will ensure we continue to get the desired food on the table.

The restauranteurs have quickly switched to using induction to keep their business flourishing.

Have you done the same with AI?
